Arrowtown is a sought-after wedding location due to its beauty, heritage, relative isolation, and 20 minute access from the Queenstown international airport. (making it easy for guests to be transported to the chosen venue) . Historic Arrowtown is surrounded by tree covered hills and snow-capped mountains and makes for a very romantic setting. The small town is set up incredibly well for weddings - there are three lovely historic churches (Anglican, Catholic and Presbyterian) as well as hairdresser, spa, classic cars and horse & carriage to get the bride to the wedding on time. Queesnstown, Gibston Valley and the ski fields are only 20 minutes away by car, providing a wide range of activities for guests before or after the wedding (eg. wine tours, cycling along part or all of the 100km cycle track, bungy-jumping, Shotover Jet, skiing and snow boarding, and night life in Queenstown). Bikes can be hired from the Arrowtown Cycles (just 3 minutes walk from the cottage) and everything is here to make your stay an occasion never to forget.
The Stone House Cottage Retreat is located just two minutes down to the village and four minutes up to all three churches and is an ideal luxurious heritage 'honeymoon nest'. Here follows some wedding planning options and suggestions:

The Arrow River (located 3 minutes down from the cottage) is a beautiful spot with a fast running stone lined shallow river, surrounded by trees and looking out to the hills and mountains. This is a great location for a wedding.
